I didn’t set out to advise companies.

My journey began in the world of fashion and art, leaving a small town in Wales to pursue my dream in London. I studied hard, worked harder, and built a pretty broad level of experience from luxury sales to branding, design, buying & merchandising, financial planning, and ultimately the expansion of global brands.

Looking back, I can see that every step was building towards something bigger... understanding how businesses actually work.

I always had a huge desire to learn business, and little did I know I wad preparing myself from a very young age, learning the ins and outs of it all, saying yes to every opportunity and learning from some of the best along the way.

A Big Shift in Direction

There came a time, approaching the end of my 20’s in corporate Fashion where I realised I had stopped enjoying what I was once so excited and passionate about. I had reach a point where I had stopped growing and would often dream of taking everything I had learned and building something of my own.

A word that was always on my mind was ‘purpose’. I was grateful for everything I had worked for and had in my life, but something just felt missing, like I was meant for something greater and it was time to really explore my potential.

So I quit… everything I knew… and bet on myself.

It was not something I planned, or even expected myself to ever do, but it never felt so right.

It was scary for a brief moment, then it turned into excitement... this is what I knew I needed to do.

The Work I Do Today

From that decision came a property company I co-founded with my partner, an advisory firm, and eventually, the Business Scale Academy, a platform and community for founders and CEOs ready to scale the right way.

Over the past few years, I’ve worked with incredible leaders across startups, scaleups, and global luxury brands. Along the way, I’ve found the purpose I was searching for: to build meaningful companies, and help others do the same.

That’s why I write Beyond Scaling.
